NEW YORK- JetBlue Airways (B6), headquartered in New York JFK, has engaged in another sale-and-leaseback arrangement, this time with BOC Aviation, involving eight A220-300s and two A321neo aircraft.
The lessor involved in this deal is BOC Aviation (USA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Singapore-based company listed on the Hong Kong stock market.

JetBlue Leases Airbus A220 and A321neo
According to information in a stock market filing, BOC Aviation (USA) will lease these Airbus aircraft back to JetBlue Airways through finance lease transactions that are anticipated to be finalized in 2023.
This marks the third finance lease agreement recently signed between BOC and JetBlue, bringing the total to 27 aircraft. Prior deals, executed in June and September, encompassed two A321neo and five A220s, followed by another agreement involving five A321neo and five A220s.
According to data from ch-aviation fleets advanced, JetBlue’s current fleet comprises twenty A321-200NX aircraft, with ownership of 14 and leasing arrangements for the remaining six through DAE Capital. Additionally, they operate nine owned A321-200NX(LR) aircraft.
The airline’s A220 fleet consists of nineteen owned aircraft, with an additional eighty-one A220s and thirty-four A321-200NX, nine A321-200NX(LR)s, and thirteen A321-200NY(XLR)s on order from the manufacturer.

New Destinations
Recently, JetBlue made an exciting announcement, revealing its expansion into two new Trans-Atlantic destinations, Dublin (DUB) and Edinburgh (EDI).
Daily seasonal service will be offered from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Dublin Airport (DUB) from March 13, 2024, to September 30, 2024.
Additionally, daily seasonal service from New York’s JFK to Edinburgh Airport (EDI) will commence on May 22, 2024, and continue through September 30, 2024.
These additions mark the fourth and fifth transatlantic markets for JetBlue, which currently provides daily nonstop service to London, Paris, and Amsterdam from New York, as well as London and Amsterdam from Boston.
