DELHI- This week, Air India (AI) submitted updates to its scheduled service for the Delhi (DEL)– London Heathrow (LHR) route in the upcoming Northern Winter 2023/24 season.
Starting on October 31, 2023, the AI111/112 route will reintroduce the use of the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft alongside the continued operation of the -200LR.

The airline’s schedule for this route includes a total of 17 weekly flights, utilizing both 777 and 787-8 aircraft.
Here’s the updated schedule as reported by Aeroroutes:
AI161: Depart from Delhi at 02:45, arrive in London Heathrow at 06:35 using a Boeing 787-8 aircraft daily.
AI111: Depart from Delhi at 07:40, arrive in London Heathrow at 11:30 using a Boeing 777-300ER on certain days and a Boeing 777-200LR on other days.
AI165: Depart from Delhi at 14:10, arrive in London Heathrow at 18:00 using a Boeing 787-8 aircraft on specific days.
AI162: Depart from London Heathrow at 08:45, arrive in Delhi at 22:30 using a Boeing 787-8 aircraft daily.
AI112: Depart from London Heathrow at 13:30, arrive in Delhi at 03:05 the next day using a Boeing 777-300ER on specific days and a Boeing 777-200LR on other days.
AI166: Depart from London Heathrow at 19:45, arrive in Delhi at 09:25 the next day using a Boeing 787-8 aircraft on specific days.
As previously mentioned, one of the two daily Mumbai to London Heathrow services is now operated with a Boeing 777-300ER instead of a Boeing 787-8.
More US Flights
Air India (AI) has updated the winter schedule for 2023/24 with new flights to the United States (US) Routes, including Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington DC (IAD).
Air India has announced an expansion of its services on three routes departing from Delhi (DEL):
- The Delhi to Washington D.C. (IAD) route will see the addition of a fourth weekly flight, effective from November 21.
- A fourth weekly flight will be introduced on the Delhi to Newark (EWR) route starting November 27.
- The Delhi to San Francisco (SFO) route will experience an increase in frequency with the introduction of an eleventh weekly flight commencing from November 24.
The Indian carrier operates 47 non-stop flights each week from Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai to five American cities: New York, Newark (New Jersey), Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.
