Last A321neo Flight
Alaska Airlines (AS), based at Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA), is preparing to conclude its operations with the Airbus A321neo aircraft by the end of this month.
The final flight involving this aircraft type is scheduled to be AS1126, departing from Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and heading to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), as per information from the ch-aviation schedules module.
These Airbus A321 aircraft were acquired by Alaska Airlines through the merger with Virgin America. Still, the carrier is now transitioning back to being an all-Boeing operator for its mainline fleet.
According to data from the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, Alaska Airlines currently possesses ten A321neo aircraft. Although Virgin America initially ordered all of these before their merger with Alaska Air Group, only four were delivered to the low-cost carrier.
At the same time, the remaining six were received by Alaska Airlines. Five of these A321neo aircraft are still in active service, while the other five were retired in the first half of September 2023.
