RIYADH- Flynas (XY), recognized as the national airline and a prominent low-cost carrier in the Middle East and globally, Flynas unveiled 7 new destinations to enhance its ever-expanding flight network.
Commencing on December 1st, 2023, the airline will introduce seven new routes departing from its newly established operations base at Madinah Airport (MED). Remarkably, Flynas (XY) has now established four operations bases throughout the Kingdom, solidifying its position as the sole carrier with such extensive coverage.
Flynas New Operations Base
From Madinah, the airline will initiate operations on two domestic routes, connecting Madinah to Abha and Tabuk.
Additionally, five international routes to Dubai, Amman, Baghdad, Istanbul, and Ankara will be introduced, complementing the existing four routes from Madinah to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Cairo.
Flynas presently links over 70 domestic and international destinations, boasting a robust schedule of over 1,500 weekly flights. Since its inception in 2007, the airline has served in excess of 60 million passengers.
It aspires to expand its reach to a total of 165 domestic and international destinations, aligning itself with the ambitious goals outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030.

This commitment is in harmony with the goals of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP), which aims to ease access to the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the National Civil Aviation Strategy, which envisions national airlines contributing to connecting Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations and accommodating 330 million passengers, with the aim of attracting 100 million tourists annually by 2030.”
Almohanna went on to explain, “Our operations at the new base will commence with an initial deployment of two aircraft.
However, we have ambitious plans to expand our operations and fleet size, introducing additional routes as part of our overarching strategy known as ‘We Connect the World with the Kingdom.’ Our objective is to enhance the travel experience for our passengers by offering direct flights to numerous destinations within Saudi Arabia and beyond. This expansion will create new job opportunities and increased localization within the aviation industry.”
Furthermore, with the endorsement from the Board of Directors to acquire an additional 250 aircraft, flynas is committed to solidifying its position as the largest low-cost airline in the Middle East.
