ZURICH- Edelweiss Airlines (WK) is addressing robust demand by expanding its long-haul services to the US and Canada for the summer of 2024. The Canadian cities of Vancouver (YVR) and Calgary (YYC) will see a substantial increase in direct flight options.
Vancouver will enjoy an extended season, with service available from May to October, including daily flights during the peak summer period. The frequency of flights to Calgary will be raised from two to three times per week, operating from May through September.
Edelweiss US and Canada Flights
The number of flights to Tampa will be doubled, with Edelweiss offering four weekly direct flights to this year-round destination during the summer.
A Saturday flight to Las Vegas will also be maintained, and the third weekly flight will continue into the autumn season. Denver will have three weekly flights beginning in June.
In the spring and autumn of 2024, Edelweiss will increase its weekly flights to Muscat to two, doubling the current frequency. Similarly, during the spring season, there will be two flights a week to Phuket, up from the previous one.
Compared to the previous two flights, Cape Town will have an expanded service, with three flights a week during the spring.
Additionally, the services to the two new Colombian destinations, Bogotá and Cartagena, which will become part of Edelweiss’ route network starting in November 2023, will be extended until the summer season in May 2024.
Lomg-Haul Destinations
Edelweiss will provide service to a total of 23 long-haul destinations in the summer 2024 schedule. This expanded flight schedule allows travelers greater flexibility in their travel dates and times.
Reservations for the additional flights will be available starting Wednesday through flyedelweiss.com and all other regular booking channels.
