BENGALURU- Tata-owned Air India (AI), the prominent global airline of India, is set to relocate its flight activities from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bengaluru, starting from August 31, 2023.
Commencing at 00:01Hrs on August 31, all of Air India’s operations, encompassing both domestic and international flights, will be directed to and from Terminal 2 of the airport.
Air India Shifts Operations to T2 Bengaluru
However, there is an exception for AI176 arriving from San Francisco (SFO), which will utilize Terminal-1 only on August 31, 2023.
Air India is diligently working to ensure a seamless and convenient transition experience for its passengers.
Employing proactive measures, Air India is actively engaging with its passengers through various communication channels to ensure they are well informed about the transition.
More Crew on Flights
According to CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson, Air India (AI) is set to enhance passenger service by increasing the number of cabin crew members on its single-aisle aircraft operating on international routes and domestic metro-to-metro routes.
He conveyed in a message to employees that the recruitment and training teams have been successful in bringing new colleagues on board.
Wilson indicated that starting from September 1, the airline plans to reinstate a full service-oriented cabin crew on these specific flights, reported Business Standard.
As new crew members continue to join, Wilson expressed the intention to extend this enhanced service to all flights, contingent upon passenger demand.
