NEW JERSEY- Delta Air Lines (DL) Sky Club is prepared to warmly welcome travelers at its fifth and final new establishment of the year, located within Newark’s Terminal A, which also serves as the airline’s new headquarters.
The sophisticated and spacious area encompasses over 7,000 square feet, comfortably accommodating more than 200 patrons (an increase of 50 from the Terminal B Club). Notably, it offers an elevated vantage point that affords captivating vistas of the recently constructed Terminal A and the airfield beyond.
Delta Sky Club at Newark
This addition to the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) further complements recently inaugurated lounges at nearby New York City airports.
These include the T4-A Club at JFK, unveiled in July, and the largest club within the system introduced last summer at LaGuardia on Delta’s state-of-the-art Terminal C facility.
The unveiling of the EWR Terminal A Club ensures that customers in the New York City metropolitan area can indulge in an enhanced lounge experience tailored to their preferred airport.
The EWR Terminal A Club offers a distinctive open-air environment, carefully outfitted with several acoustic systems that effectively absorb ambient sounds from the airport surroundings. This thoughtful design ensures that guests can revel in a tranquil and sociable atmosphere during their visit.
Claude Roussel, Vice President of Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience, remarked,
“This lounge is a true embodiment of its surroundings, both within the airport and the wider Newark area. Our team has meticulously incorporated design elements that cultivate a welcoming and calming space within the midst of a bustling terminal. We’re eagerly anticipating the opportunity for Newark’s guests to discover this lounge firsthand and immerse themselves in our signature Delta Sky Club hospitality.”
Elegant Design
The lounge’s design draws inspiration from Newark’s unique contrasts: a lush green color palette that pays homage to its “Garden State” moniker and the city’s historical significance as a prominent manufacturing hub.
Echoing its past as a center of factories, leather tanneries, and breweries, the Club’s interior boasts warm leather textures and metallic accents.
The lounge’s architecture seamlessly blends strong lines and rich hues with gentle, curved forms reminiscent of the local landscape, achieving a harmonious fusion of the natural and the industrial.
Visitors to the Terminal A Club can savor beverages from the premium bar or the well-stocked beverage station, along with a buffet showcasing a seasonally inspired array of fresh culinary offerings.
The lounge boasts four private, all-gender restrooms and designated zones catering to various needs, whether mobile work, social interaction, or simply unwinding with a pre-flight cocktail. This well-appointed lounge is equipped to cater to the diverse travel requirements of customers.
Shift in DL’s Operations at EWR
Starting from August 23, Delta Airlines’ operations at EWR will undergo a relocation from Terminal B to the newly established Terminal A, which was inaugurated earlier this year.
Passengers of Delta at Terminal A will experience streamlined check-in processes thanks to updated technology and enhanced procedures.
The terminal will feature new kiosks with self-tagging functionality for checked baggage and a dedicated Sky Priority check-in zone.
The revamped terminal boasts larger gate areas adorned with contemporary furnishings that embrace natural light. Additionally, travelers will find an array of locally owned and operated dining and retail choices.
During the upcoming fall season, Delta plans to run 29 peak-day departures from EWR to a range of seven destinations, including ATL, BOS, CVG, DTW, MSP, RDU, and SLC.
