TSA PreCheck Benefits
TSA PreCheck provides a multitude of advantages to enrolled travelers, encompassing dedicated screening lanes accessible at over 200 participating airports across the nation. Remarkably, 99% of TSA PreCheck passengers experience wait times of less than 10 minutes.
Notably, the requirement to remove shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, or lightweight jackets is eliminated. When flying on the same reservation as enrolled adults and bearing the TSA PreCheck indicator on their boarding pass, adolescents aged 13-17 can join them at the TSA PreCheck lanes.
Children aged 12 and under can accompany enrolled parents or guardians through the TSA PreCheck lanes without any restrictions.
Larry Nau, TSA Federal Security Director for Colorado, emphasized TSA PreCheck’s substantial advantages to those who meet its enrollment criteria, including reduced physical contact, fewer items on the conveyor belt, and expedited screening.
He highlighted that this benefit is a valuable and cost-effective travel option, with a $78 fee for five years, equating to approximately $15 per year.
Jennifer Schwierzke, United’s Vice President of Customer Strategy and Innovation, expressed enthusiasm for the airline’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience.
She underlined that United customers at Denver International Airport can now conveniently enroll in TSA PreCheck, ensuring a smoother journey through the airport.
