BOSTON- Delta (DL) Sky Club is establishing its latest lounge at Boston-Logan Airport (BOS), drawing inspiration from the city’s maritime legacy.
This new lounge boasts panoramic vistas of the storied harbor and a modern skyline, encapsulating the city’s historical and contemporary essence.
Spanning an impressive 21,000 square feet, the Club can comfortably accommodate over 400 visitors and will be situated on the international E Concourse, complementing the existing two Clubs on Concourse A.
The design of the lounge pays homage to the renowned harbor, seamlessly incorporating hues and textures reminiscent of Boston’s maritime heritage.
Delta Sky Club Lounge at Boston
The lounge’s design draws from a washed oak motif, reminiscent of the weathered wood found on ships, evoking the sensation of being aboard a timeless sailing vessel. This concept is further embodied in the lounge’s structural form, gracefully echoing the curvature of a sailboat.
Its elongated configuration harmonizes with the architectural layout of the building. Within this layout, wooden and metal arches create distinct pockets, transforming the expansive area into intimate and welcoming zones.
The color palette, serene and soothing, incorporates navy, teal, and terracotta accents inspired by the distinctive brick hues of the Boston skyline and the gradual transition of a sunset casting jewel-toned reflections on the harbor.
Undoubtedly captivating, the Club’s focal point is the premium bar, characterized by an overhead canopy boasting layered champagne-toned mesh.
This striking feature harmoniously combines with a captivating backlit display of beverages, exuding an air of drama and elegance.
Premium Offerings
Lounge visitors will be treated to a premium selection of culinary offerings that are synonymous with the Delta Sky Club experience.
In addition to a buffet showcasing seasonally inspired, fresh choices, the BOS-E Club will feature local delicacies, such as the iconic New England clam chowder and Boston-based Necco candy wafers.
A diverse range of seating alternatives is provided within the lounge, including six soundproof phone booths, catering to individuals seeking spaces to work, socialize, or simply savor the surroundings.
The Club has meticulously tailored restroom facilities to enhance guest comfort and privacy, encompassing amenities like a family room and five shower suites (including two that are ADA compliant).
Moreover, this establishment was conceived with sustainability at its core, achieving LEED-Silver certification.
Claude Roussel, the Managing Director of Delta Sky Club, commented, “Each lounge boasts its distinct character, and the layout, as well as the Boston-centric elements within this Club, make it genuinely unparalleled. From the instant our guests step into the lounge, our aspiration is to transport them — not just through the thoughtfully curated design, but also through the warmth and hospitality extended by our team.”
Starting from August 15, the E Concourse Club will welcome patrons from 1:30-10:45 p.m., with the lounge concluding its operations at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.
