BANGKOK- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and EVA Air (BR) have entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) to collaborate on promoting Thailand’s tourism to benefit both parties.
The agreement involves leveraging EVA Air’s extensive global route network to increase the number of visitors from important international markets to the kingdom.

During a signing ceremony held in Bangkok, the Letter of Intent (LOI) was officially signed by Mr. Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Americas, and Mr. Charlie Pan, EVA Airways Corporation Executive Vice President, Passenger Management Division.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, expressed, “Together, TAT and EVA Air will enhance the travel experience for visitors heading to Thailand. Seamlessly connecting the world to the captivating wonders of the kingdom through our short-haul and long-haul flights.”
“We will showcase the diverse array of attractions, from the vibrant streets of Bangkok to the serene beaches of Phuket. Further from the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya to the tranquil temples of Chiang Mai,” added Mr. Supasorn.
Mr. Clay Sun, EVA Airways Corporation President, shared, “We are thrilled to collaborate with TAT on marketing initiatives that spotlight Thailand’s breathtaking landscapes, lively cities, and warm hospitality. Further making it a sought-after destination for travelers from all corners of the globe.”

Tourism Hub
The Letter of Intent (LOI) aims to promote Thailand as a preferred tourism destination across EVA Air’s extensive route network.
TAT will collaborate with EVA Air to bolster passenger traffic from key strategic markets by supporting tour operators and travel agents within the airline’s network through promotional giveaways, packages, incentives, and marketing.
EVA Air’s short-haul network includes 28 direct flights between Bangkok and Taipei weekly. Subsequently, the daily flights between Bangkok and various Japanese cities and flights to South Korea, China, and Australia via Taipei.
Its long-haul network covers 84 flights a week between Bangkok and North America. Furthermore, 14 direct flights weekly between Bangkok and major European cities.
The LOI also entails organizing FAM trips to Thailand for influencers, tour operators, travel agents, and media personnel, as well as exploring joint participation in TAT tradeshow and roadshow events and developing joint advertising campaigns in key markets.
EVA Air has received notable accolades, including being ranked ninth in the ‘World’s Top 10 Airlines’ by Skytrax in 2023 and receiving the ‘World’s Best Premium Economy Class and ‘Best Premium Economy Class Airlines in Asia’ titles.
Additionally, the airline holds a 5-Star Airline certification from Skytrax for the eighth consecutive year and was ranked among the ‘Top 25 Airlines in the World for 2023’ by AirlineRatings.com.
