PARIS- Today, during the Paris International Air Show, De Havilland Canada and Flybig (S9) entered into a Purchase Agreement to acquire two Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft.
Additionally, they have signed a Letter of Interest. Further, expressing their intention to purchase 10 new DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft.

Flybig Orders De Havilland Canada DHC-6
Brian Chafe, the Chief Executive Officer of De Havilland Canada, expressed pride in welcoming flybig as the first Twin Otter Series 400 operator in India.
He also acknowledged the potential future acquisition of 10 new DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft by flybig. Further emphasizing the aircraft’s role in connecting remote communities.
Sanjay Mandavia, Chairman and Managing Director of fly big, highlighted the suitability of Twin Otter aircraft for India’s UDAN regional airport development program. Which aims to improve air connectivity in underserviced routes and connect Tier 2 and Tier 3 communities.
Mandavia expressed that the two Series 400 aircraft will contribute to fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of connecting India’s hinterland.
He also expressed eagerness to collaborate with De Havilland Canada on potential future acquisitions of the new Classic 300-G aircraft.

All New DHC-6 Twin Otter
The new DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G joins the existing DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 as the fifth generation of the Twin Otter aircraft.
These versatile aircraft can carry passengers, transport VIPs, move cargo, and conduct medivac operations. Further, perform special missions in challenging environments.
When equipped with amphibious floats, they can seamlessly transition between landing on paved surfaces and water-landing areas.

De Havilland Canada at Paris Air Show
De Havilland Canada will announce Purchase Agreements with their valued Twin Otter Classic 300-G launch customers during the Paris International Air Show.
The Classic 300-G represents the fifth generation of the Twin Otter aircraft. Further joining the existing Series 400.
DHC-6 Twin Otters are utilized for passenger transportation, VIP transport, cargo movement, and medivac operations. Further, for special missions in challenging environments worldwide.
The De Havilland Canada expands its presence in the Canadian aerospace industry. Launching the DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G will create 80 and 91 permanent production jobs in Calgary, Alberta, Victoria, and British Columbia, respectively, contributing to the local economy.
