LONDON- UK flag carrier British Airways (BA) has unveiled its intention to introduce a dedicated lounge bar named Whispering Angel. Making it the first airline to offer a bespoke bar exclusively dedicated to the renowned rosé wine.
Situated within the airline’s lounge at Terminal 5 B in London Heathrow, often regarded as one of the airport’s hidden gems. Further, this unique bar will solely feature the esteemed Whispering Angel rosé from Caves d’Esclans.

British Airways New Lounge
Anticipated to open during the upcoming summer, the bar will be adorned in a pale pink color scheme. Subsequently mirroring the light tones of the served rosé.
This launch will coincide with a rejuvenation of the B gates lounge. Where travelers can expect to find new and reupholstered furniture and an updated layout.
For eligible British Airways customers frequenting the airline’s Club lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick, The Pale rosé, crafted by the same winemakers as Whispering Angel, will be available. Further, Whispering Angel can be enjoyed in British Airways First and Club lounges.
Whispering Angel, from Château d’Esclans, presents a delicate Provençal pink shade and indulges customers with sun-kissed creamy flavors of peach and raspberries.
Subsequently, Complemented by refreshing citrus undertones and a smooth, dry finish, it offers a truly exquisite experience.

As part of British Airways’ ongoing efforts to enhance its beverage offerings, they have taken steps to elevate the experience by appointing a full-time Master of Wine.
This individual is one of only 415 Masters of Wine worldwide and is believed to be the only one appointed by an airline. In March 2023, British Airways introduced four new English sparkling wines to their onboard selection.
These sparkling wine options are rotated on a quarterly basis, with a new selection every three months. Providing a diverse range of choices, customers traveling in Club World can now select from two sparkling options, including the current Champagne offering, Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Silver Top Non-Vintage Champagne, as well as an exclusive English Sparkling wine option.
