Indigo airline’s flight from Nagpur to Lucknow is canceled after Lightning struck the plane.
According to our source present at Nagpur airport said, there was low visibility and heavy rainfall at Nagpur airport. Not only that heavy winds were blowing and continuous thunderstorms.
He further added, Two IndiGo technicians while moving aircraft for departure are also heavily Injured.
What happened to IndiGo Nagpur Lucknow Flight?
Due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, the IndiGo airlines Nagpur Lucknow flight got struck by lightning.
The incident occurs at Nagpur airport when the aircraft is moving for its departure.
According to our sources, the lighting struck the aircraft and two aircraft technicians were Heavily injured.
The Technicians on Headset is heavily Injured and another one holding wire is also hurt and they are rushed to hospitals.
The aircraft involved is IndiGo’s ATR-72-600, a Turboprop aircraft, frequently used for short-haul flights.
According to rules, the airlines are not permitted to use Headset during such bizarre weather conditions, But they sent technicians out as they have scheduled flight for Lucknow.
The airlines and regulatory bodies’ ignorance in following rules is not hidden from anyone.
Recently many Indian airlines have been involved in many emergency landings and dozens of snags.
Flight is Canceled by the airline
After this incident, IndiGo canceled its scheduled Nagpur-Lucknow flight.
The flight is scheduled to depart at 5:35 Pm and is canceled due to a lightning strike.
Also, Lucknow to Nagpur Flight is canceled as it is the same aircraft that was bound to come back to Airport.
The aircraft involved in this incident is ATR-72-600 and has registration VT-IRA, only a 1-year-old aircraft.
The source said the damage to the aircraft is unknown and IndiGo airlines have not yet commented on this Issue.
We Request Indian Regulatory DGCA to Investigate this issue and take strict action against the people responsible for these incidents.
