Air Works Group India’s Oldest and Largest Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MROs) organization have delivered the 6th Boeing P-8I aircraft to Boeing and the Indian Navy.

Air Works Delivers 6th Boeing P-81 aircraft to Indian Navy
Air Works Group carried out the 32 Phase Checks on Boeing P-8I maritime aircraft.
The Heavy Maintenance checks are carried out at their world-class facility at Hosur, Tamil Nadu in India.
The MRO achieved this milestone of delivering the last of the 6th Boeing P-8I on 4th August 2022.
The Milestone not only shows Air Works Capability and reliability to Support Both Civil and Defense aircraft but also represents a Major achievement in India’s Ambition of becoming Aatmanirbhar (Self-reliant) in Maintaining defense and Aerospace assets.

He further added,

Last year, Airworks and Boeing signed a Bilateral strategic agreement for MRO services of two crucial Boeing platforms in India.
These include Boeing P-8I aircraft Operated by the Indian Navy (IN) and the VIP transport fleet of BBJ operated by the Indian Air Force (IAF).

P-8I is an aircraft designed for long-range anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASuW), and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
P-8I is built to deliver the highest levels of quality, reliability, and operability.
Its induction into the Indian Navy in 2013, is widely regarded as a game changer for India’s maritime capabilities.
The aircraft is powered by the same CFM-56-7 Engine that powers Boeing 737 aircraft.
