According to Dallas Police, At Dallas Love Field Airport, a 37-year-old woman with Handgun started shooting at the ticket counter.
The incident took place just before 11:00 AM local time at Dallas city Airport.
What Happened at Dallas Love Field Airport?
A 37-year-old woman named Portia Odufuwa with a handgun opened fire at the ceiling near the ticket counter.
The officials stated that the woman entered the restroom and came back to the ticket counter and started shooting with a Handgun, she fired multiple times with the weapon.
According to Officials, all the regular flight operations operated at Dallas Airport have been suspended due to the shooting.
The Dallas Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating the incident and will update you, Dallas Police were assisted by the FBI at the scene, with their Evidence Response Team on the scene, and assisting DPD with witness interviews.
A member of the Dallas Police department nearby quickly engaged with the suspect, firing their weapon and hitting the woman in the lower extremities.
Luckily no Airport staff, passengers traveling at the airport, and Dallas police officers (DPD) injuries were reported, The suspect is arrested by Dallas Police and FBI and investigations are ongoing to find out the motive behind this incident.
Operations Resume at Dallas Love field
City officials said operations will resume once DPD, along with the FBI and their Evidence Response Team on the scene, has concluded its investigation.
At 3:30 Pm, 4 hours after the shooting, Dallas airport resumed its operation with strict checking at the entry points.
The travelers are stranded due to shooting and police investigations at Dallas airport.
The arrested woman was taken to hospital and is been identified and an investigation has started.
