When the major airline in India offered an 8% raise in April of this year, the pay were largely restored. The most recent action will contribute to the pilots’ pay being restored by 16 percent.

The airline also informed the pilots that starting on November 1 there will be an additional 6.5 percent salary restoration “depending on the environment.” With effect from July 1, the airline recently reinstated layover and deadhead allowances.
On the BSE, shares of IndiGo closed at Rs 1,675.10, down Rs 16.65 or 0.98 percent.
