IndiGo, a private airline, began regular service on its new Mumbai-Mangaluru-Mumbai route on Sunday.
The flight departs Mumbai at 8.50 a.m. daily and arrives in Mangaluru at 10.20 a.m. The flight then departs Mangaluru at 11 a.m. and arrives in Mumbai at 12.40 p.m.
According to an IndiGo press statement, the new route will be operated by an Airbus A320.The flight’s testing operations began on Friday.
On June 17, 88 passengers, including two children, boarded the trial flight to Mangaluru, while 99 passengers boarded the aircraft to Mumbai.
Today, 55 people arrived in Mangaluru on the first scheduled flight, while 143 passengers, including a baby, flew out of Mangaluru.
