When the pilot of an easyJet flight became ill and reportedly ran to the bathroom mid-flight, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
After flying from Heraklion, Greece, EasyJet flight EZY6938 was approaching Edinburgh Airport in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A Live Squawk 700 alert was sent out by the crew, requesting an expedient landing.Around 1.20 a.m., the first officer took command of the vessel.

According to passengers, the pilot was observed entering the restroom and did not exit until the plane had landed.
According to the Scottish Sun, a passenger said: "The captain had been observed entering the restroom and not out." After landing, five fire engines and two ambulances greeted the airliner on the runway.
“On the tannoy, the very young-looking co-pilot explained that the emergency reaction was due to the captain’s illness.”
The co-pilot stated that they had been on duty for 13 hours.
