SpiceJet announced on Thursday that from July 1 to July 31, it will operate 37 special flights between India and Saudi Arabia for Indian Haj pilgrims visiting Islamic pilgrimage sites in Mecca and Medina.
"Between June 5 and June 20, special aircraft from Srinagar will depart for Medina. From July 15 to July 31, return flights from Jeddah to Srinagar are scheduled "According to the airline's announcement.
SpiceJet claims to be the only Indian airline offering Haj trips this year.
SpiceJet had previously conducted special Haj flights from Gaya and Srinagar, transporting about 19,000 pilgrims to and from the holy pilgrimage, according to the statement.
After a two-year suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, special Haj flights are slated to resume.
