The airline code for Akasa Air, which is sponsored by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, will be “QP,” the business revealed on Tuesday.
“Quite Proud to Announce Our Airline Code – QP!” tweeted Akasa Air, which plans to begin commercial flying operations in July.
A designator code is assigned to every airline in the globe. IndiGo’s code is “6E,” Go First’s is “G8,,” and Air India’s is “AI,” for example.
In August 2021, the airline got the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s no-objection certificate (NOC) to begin commercial flying operations.
The airline is supported by aviation experts Vinay Dube and Aditya Ghosh, in addition to Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.

Following the approval of the Boeing 737 Max by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in late August of last year, Akasa Air inked a contract with Boeing on November 26, 2021 to purchase 72 Max jets.
