IndiGo will gradually resume regular foreign flights on 150 or more destinations over the next month, according to a statement released by the airline on Sunday.
Following a two-year suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak, India resumed scheduled foreign flights on Sunday.
During this two-year period, India operated limited foreign flights as part of air bubble agreements with other countries.
IndiGo, India’s largest carrier, announced in a statement that “scheduled operations to locations in Thailand have already resumed from March 27.”
Scheduled international flights would be available from Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Kozhikode, Kochi, Chandigarh, Tiruchirappalli, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mangaluru, according to the carrier.
Dammam, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Jeddah, Riyadh, Doha, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Colombo, Dubai, Kathmandu, Maldives, and Dhaka are among the foreign destinations.
It stated that scheduled operations on more than 150 routes will be resumed in stages during April.In addition to these routes, IndiGo has announced the start of bookings for flights to Muscat and Kuala Lumpur, which will begin operations in May 2022, and Istanbul, which will begin operations in June 2022.
