Minister of State for Civil Aviation VK Singh stated on Monday that Air India has 2,657 cases pending against it in Indian and international courts over staff service, customer complaints, and commercial issues.
Air India has been controlled by the Tata Group since its disinvestment last year.
Mr Singh responded to a query in the Rajya Sabha by saying, “Total number of litigation pending in Indian courts and international courts against Air India is 2,657.”
According to him, these cases involved topics such as employee service, customer grievances, and business matters.
Mr Singh stated, “These cases are against Air India as a legal organisation and would remain with Air India.”
The minister stated that the Centre will not deal with the Air India issues.
