Bombardier, a Canadian business jet manufacturer, has suspended all interactions with Russian clients, joining Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer.
In a statement dated March 4, 2022, the firm stated,
“We will continue to adhere to international laws, rules, and sanctions as they change.”
According to a Reuters estimate, 5 percent to 6% of Bombardier’s business jets are delivered to Russian customers.
As of February 27, 2022, Canada’s airspace was closed to Russian-owned, chartered, or operated aircraft.
According to Transport Canada, the country’s transportation regulator, Aeroflot breached a rule on entering Canadian airspace on the same day.
