NEW YORK- JetBlue (B6) launched its new flights between New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Argyle International Airport (SVD) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (Caribbean) today (October 9, 2024).
The inaugural flight arrived this afternoon, marking the beginning of roundtrip flights operating on Wednesdays and Sundays.
JetBlue Launches Caribbean Flights
David Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue, expressed enthusiasm for adding St. Vincent and the Grenadines to their network.
He highlighted the destination’s natural beauty and stated that this new service demonstrates JetBlue’s commitment to connecting customers with desirable vacation spots while introducing their service to new markets.
The Honorable Carlos James, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, welcomed JetBlue’s arrival.
He emphasized the significance of this partnership for the country’s tourism development efforts and its potential to strengthen ties with the diaspora while providing more travel options for visitors.
Tourism Authority CEO Remarks
Annette Mark, CEO of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, described the inaugural flight as a milestone for both the tourism industry and the entire country.
She noted that JetBlue’s presence would enhance the destination’s visibility in the Caribbean market and reaffirmed their commitment to creating memorable experiences for visitors.
Josette Greaves, Chief Executive Officer at Argyle International Airport Inc., expressed satisfaction in adding JetBlue to their list of airline partners.
She emphasized the airport’s role as a gateway for various travelers and their commitment to expanding travel options and enhancing connectivity with key destinations. St. Vincent and the Grenadines, an archipelago of 32 islands and cays, offers visitors a diverse range of attractions.
The destination boasts volcanic landscapes, pristine beaches, and excellent sailing waters. Known as the ‘Critter Capital of the Caribbean’, it provides opportunities for various activities including scuba diving, hiking, yachting, and wildlife watching.

Flights between New York (JFK) and St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The JFK-SVD Flight 1639 departs at 9:29 a.m. and arrives at 2:19 p.m., while the SVD-JFK Flight 1640 leaves at 3:54 p.m. and lands at 9:00 p.m.
