Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has initiated an investigation following two Delta Air Lines (DL) flights that aborted landings at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) on Thursday, May 1, 2025, due to a military helicopter headed to the Pentagon.

American Airlines Flight 1629, a Boeing 737 from Dallas, landed at Washington Airport, where the pilot failed to follow taxiing instructions.
