Air India (AI) has assigned 30 first officers, also known as co-pilots, to assist with A320 aircraft operations for Vistara (UK) amidst its pilot shortage.

Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan emphasized on Saturday that “more than 98% of pilots” had agreed to update contracts featuring a revised pay system, which industry insiders highlighted as a significant factor contributing to recent flight disruptions and delays.
Vistara (UK), an airline owned by the Tata Group, has been grappling with persistent flight cancellations for the fourth consecutive day, despite appeals from pilots at sister airline Air India (AI) for the group chairman to address the concerns of Vistara pilots.
