Air India (AI) is set to operate test flights to and from India’s first multi-nodal airport, Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) in April 2025.

India’s first multi-modal airport, Navi Mumbai International Airport (IATA Code: NMI) successfully completed the calibration flights of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) for Runway 26/08 (Southern Runway) on August 13, 2024.
NMIA is the second International Airport for Mumbaikars and is being developed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL). Currently, AAHL operates, manages, and develops 8 Airports in India.
Adani Group plans to demolish Mumbai Airport Terminal 1 (T1) next year, a few months following Navi Mumbai Airport Opening in March 2025.
