Missing Tool Found in Qantas A380 Engine

Australian investigators are examining how a tool remained inside a Qantas Airbus A380 wing after international flights between Sydney and Dallas.

Qantas Airways (QF) flight from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) to Johannesburg (JNB) made a precautionary landing back at SYD on December 25, 2024.

Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) initiated an investigation following the discovery of a tool inside the engine of a Qantas (QF) Airbus A380.
