China Eastern Airlines (MU) has officially resumed direct passenger flights between Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

Direct flights between India and China are set to resume after a gap of more than five years.
According to projections from the ACI, India will surpass China in air passenger traffic growth rate by 2026.
India and China have initiated talks to resume direct flights, dormant since early 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent border tensions.
China is urging India to resume direct passenger flights after a four-year hiatus, but the Indian government is hesitant due to ongoing tensions from a border dispute, officials added.
