Italy’s privacy watchdog, the Garante, has fined Emirates €180,000 over the way it collects and retains sensitive medical data from passengers with reduced mobility, citing unclear MEDIF practices and excessive data retention.
FINED
British Airways (BA) has been fined £3.2 million following two serious falls involving baggage handlers at Heathrow Airport (LHR).
The aviation safety regulator told that the matter is “of serious concern and unacceptable”. “After going through Air India submissions, as part of enforcement action, the competent authority has levied a fine of Rs 10 Lakh. In addition, the airline has been advised to directly put the systems in place to resolve the issue failing which further action shall be taken by DGCA,” the aviation watchdog told in a report.
