Emirates Airlines (EK) has carried over one million tourists to Mauritius through Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU) since 2022, accounting for more than 20% of total arrivals during the 2022 to 2025 period.

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, will introduce a third daily flight to Mauritius on December 1, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to increase inbound tourism to the Indian Ocean destination.
Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with three tourism boards, including Tourism Seychelles, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
