UAE’s flag carrier Emirates Airline (EK) is in talks to fit its 260‑aircraft fleet with Starlink’s high‑speed satellite Wi‑Fi service, targeting a major connectivity upgrade.
Within a decade of its establishment, Emirates began introducing widebody aircraft such as the Airbus A330 and A340 into its fleet.
Expanding Emirates’ main-deck capacity is anticipated to facilitate the accommodation of cargo for the incoming widebody passenger aircraft, as highlighted by Nadeem Sultan, Senior Vice President of Freighters and Cargo Planning, during an interview with Cargo Facts at the IATA World Cargo Symposium held in Hong Kong this month.
