British Airways (BA) is preparing to expand its India operations due to strong and sustained travel demand between India and the United Kingdom, supported by high passenger volumes across London Heathrow (LHR).

British Airways scaled back its schedule flights from London to Delhi in 2025 due to ongoing issues with the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.

On Friday (December 22, 2023), a British Airways (BA) flight to London had to return to New Delhi shortly after takeoff due to an indication of fire, according to airport officials.
