AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes

AirAsia (AK) has announced an aggressive growth strategy to extend its reach to Europe and potentially the West Coast of the United States by 2030.

Tony Fernandes, the CEO of Capital A, which operates as AirAsia Group, recently (April 2, 2024) visited the facilities of COMAC and was truly impressed by what he saw.

Fernandes shared on Instagram that he had to opt for Singapore Airlines because AirAsia flights were fully booked. He posted pictures of himself boarding a Singapore Airlines plane and even shared the view from his economy-class seat.
