Air India (AI) flight AI2957, destined for Mumbai (BOM), activated emergency protocols after transmitting a hijack signal to Delhi’s (DEL) Air Traffic Control (ATC) shortly after takeoff at 8:40 PM on Monday (January 27, 2025).
Late on Sunday evening (October 9), authorities at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) were placed on high alert in response to a threatening email received concerning a potential hijacker on a Tata-owned Air India (AI) flight to Dubai (DXB), Flight AI951.
