DETROIT— Pilots operating Delta Air Lines (DL) Connection Flight DL5090 requested ground-based supervisory assistance after a dispute between the aircraft’s two flight attendants escalated during the descent into Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) on October 13, 2026. The regional service, operated by Endeavor Air, was flying from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in South Carolina to Detroit, Michigan.
The captain asked airline personnel to meet the aircraft at the gate, warning that the crew members might need to be separated to prevent the disagreement from escalating further. The aircraft subsequently landed safely, and supervisors were reportedly waiting to address the situation after arrival.

Delta Air Lines Crew Dispute
According to an incident report published by AIRLIVE, the pilots contacted ground operations while the Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR was approaching Detroit.
Their communication indicated that the disagreement involved the flight attendants rather than passengers, prompting a request for intervention before the aircraft reached the gate.
The captain reportedly told ground personnel that the crew was experiencing conflict issues and that separating the attendants might be necessary to prevent further escalation or an incident.
The request highlighted the seriousness with which the flight deck crew treated the situation, although available reports do not establish whether the disagreement involved verbal arguments, physical confrontation, or another form of misconduct.
The aircraft, identified as registration N132EV in the incident report, landed on Runway 21L at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport before taxiing to Gate C21.
Inflight management and supervisory personnel were reportedly present to meet the aircraft, allowing the airline to address the dispute after the flight.

Flight Lands Safely
Despite the reported disagreement in the cabin, DL5090 completed its journey without a reported safety incident involving the aircraft.
Available accounts also indicate that the dispute did not cause a diversion or prevent the aircraft from reaching its destination.
The CRJ-900 regional jet was operating a route of approximately 508 miles between Greenville-Spartanburg and Detroit, OMAAT flagged.
The incident occurred during the approach phase, when the pilots were preparing to land and simultaneously had to coordinate the response to the cabin crew problem.
No publicly available information has established whether either flight attendant sustained an injury, whether the airline launched a formal investigation, or whether disciplinary measures followed.
Endeavor Air and Delta Air Lines had not provided further details in the reports available about the cause of the disagreement.

Cabin Crew Coordination
Flight attendants play an important role in passenger safety, including managing cabin procedures, communicating with pilots and responding to emergencies.
Their ability to coordinate effectively becomes particularly important when an aircraft encounters an unexpected situation.
Disagreements can occur in any workplace, but unresolved conflict between crew members can complicate cabin operations and create additional demands for the flight deck.
Aviation crews rely on clear communication, professional conduct, and established procedures to manage such challenges without compromising safety.
In this case, the captain’s request for a supervisor suggests that the pilots considered intervention necessary before the situation deteriorated further.
However, without details from the airline or the crew members involved, it remains unclear what triggered the dispute or how the disagreement developed.
The safe arrival of DL5090 meant that the reported conflict did not prevent the flight from completing its scheduled journey.
The incident nevertheless drew attention to the importance of crew coordination and the procedures airlines use to resolve workplace disputes during flight operations.
