SINGAPORE- Singapore Airlines (SQ) has finalized its winter 2026/27 schedule, covering operations from 25 October 2026 through 27 March 2027. Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) remains the central hub for a network that will exceed 2,530 passenger flights per week by March 2027.
Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) joins the network from 23 November 2026, while Madrid returns after more than 2 decades and Europe receives a broad capacity increase. At the same time, Colombo, Johannesburg, Bali, Amsterdam and several other markets will see targeted reductions.
Singapore Airlines Winter 2026/27 Schedule
Singapore Airlines (SQ) has now confirmed the weekly frequencies and aircraft allocations for its northern winter 2026/27 schedule.
Flights for this period have been available for booking for some time, but many frequencies and aircraft assignments were initially carried over from the previous season and were not necessarily accurate.
The finalized schedule provides a much clearer picture of where Singapore Airlines will operate through late March 2027. The network is materially different from winter 2025/26, when Europe and North Asia experienced deeper seasonal reductions.
For winter 2026/27, Singapore Airlines is restoring capacity across Europe, expanding selected Australia and New Zealand routes, increasing Vietnam services and planning the return of Dubai and Riyadh.
Several markets are moving in the opposite direction, most notably Colombo, Johannesburg and Bali.
Headline Network Figures
Singapore Airlines will operate more than 2,530 passenger flights per week by March 2027. This is the airline’s highest total since the major schedule reductions introduced in April 2020 during the COVID-19 period.
According to Mainly Miles, the March 2027 schedule represents about 92% of the pre-pandemic monthly level operated across the combined Singapore Airlines and SilkAir network in January 2020. SilkAir was fully merged into Singapore Airlines in May 2021.
The winter season runs from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027.
The detailed schedule data shows:
- 876 weekly flights across the short-haul and Asia network by March 2027
- 366 weekly flights across the listed long-haul network by March 2027
These detailed schedule totals sit alongside the wider network figure of more than 2,530 passenger flights per week.
Europe Capacity Rebounds
Europe was the region most affected by Singapore Airlines’ deeper seasonal reductions in winter 2025/26.
Last winter included cuts to London Heathrow, Munich, Paris and Rome, while nonstop Barcelona service was suspended for a month.
The winter 2026/27 schedule reverses much of that pressure. Singapore Airlines will operate roughly 15% to 20% more weekly flights to Europe than at comparable points last winter, and the normal February and March low periods are less severe.
Barcelona and Madrid
Barcelona receives 5 weekly nonstop flights for the entire winter, compared with only two weekly flights last winter.
The Barcelona service will continue to Madrid, bringing Singapore Airlines back to Madrid for the first time since 2004. The change ends the Singapore to Milan to Barcelona routing.
Milan therefore returns to a daily terminating service, while the new Barcelona to Madrid sector is not available for independent domestic travel within Spain.
Frankfurt
Frankfurt receives its third daily flight six days per week from the beginning of the winter schedule.
The SQ330/SQ329 rotation operates at the higher frequency from the start of the season instead of being introduced only from mid-January as happened last winter. There is a two-week reduction in late January when the route temporarily returns to twice daily.
The Airbus A380 is withdrawn from Frankfurt during this season. SQ326/SQ325 reverts to the Boeing 777-300ER.
London Gatwick
London Gatwick increases to twice daily for much of the winter, compared with daily service last year.

London Heathrow
London Heathrow keeps 4 daily flights throughout the winter, or 28 weekly services.
This avoids the reduction to three daily flights that affected Heathrow for more than five weeks during January and February last winter.
Manchester
Manchester retains its daily service throughout the winter. The route is therefore higher than the five weekly frequency operated last winter before the service was increased in July 2026.
Munich
Munich increases to 10 weekly flights for much of the season, compared with seven weekly last winter.
The extra SQ368/SQ367 rotation operates three times weekly. Service falls back to daily in February before rising again to 10 weekly in March, but even that February level remains above last winter’s unusual 5 weekly schedule.
Australia and New Zealand Expand for Southern Summer
Singapore Airlines continues its normal seasonal strategy of adding capacity to Australia and New Zealand during the Southern Hemisphere summer.
The biggest development is the addition of Western Sydney International Airport.
Western Sydney Launch
Singapore Airlines will launch daily Airbus A350 Medium Haul service to Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) from 23 November 2026.
The new route operates alongside Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD). Together, the two Sydney airports restore 5 daily Singapore Airlines flights during the relevant winter period, matching the winter 2024/25 schedule.
Adelaide
Adelaide reaches a record 12 weekly flights, up from 10 weekly.
All Adelaide services are scheduled with the Boeing 787-10.
Auckland
Auckland receives the Airbus A380 for the entire winter season for the first time, alongside a daily Boeing 777-300ER service.
The seasonal third daily flight, SQ287/SQ288, does not return. Peak frequency therefore falls from the 21 weekly flights seen early last winter.
Despite the lower number of flights, the larger aircraft mean overall seat capacity is largely maintained.
Christchurch
Christchurch reaches a record 12 weekly flights during the peak summer period.

The peak of 12 weekly is above last winter’s maximum of 11 weekly. Even the shoulder periods remain stronger, with 10 weekly flights instead of daily service last winter.
Cairns
Cairns becomes daily from 1 December 2026, increasing from four weekly flights.
The route changes aircraft type from the Airbus A350 to the smaller Boeing 737-8 MAX.
Brisbane
One of Brisbane’s 4 daily services, SQ265/SQ266, switches to the Airbus A350 Long Haul from 1 November 2026.
The aircraft change brings the 2013 Business Class seat back to that rotation.
Vietnam Leads Regional Growth
Vietnam is the strongest regional growth market in the winter schedule.
Combined Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang services reach 70 weekly flights, up from 49 weekly last winter. That is an increase of roughly 43%.
Hanoi
Hanoi operates 21 weekly flights, maintaining the third daily service introduced in June 2026.
The route uses a mix of Airbus A350 Medium Haul and Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft.
Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City increases to 28 weekly flights, up from 21.
The route uses Airbus A350 Long Haul, Boeing 787-10 and Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft.
Da Nang
Da Nang increases to 21 weekly flights, up from 14.
The route uses the Boeing 737-8 MAX.
Other Short-Haul and Asia Changes
Bangkok retains its seventh daily flight during key peak periods covering Christmas, Chinese New Year and late March. Outside those periods, it returns to six daily services.
Hangzhou continues with daily service after returning to the network in June 2026. Flights use Airbus A350 Medium Haul and Boeing 787-10 aircraft.
Busan becomes daily for the entire winter after building up from four weekly to daily during last winter.
Osaka retains 3 daily flights throughout the season, avoiding the reduction to twice daily that lasted around seven weeks last winter.
Sapporo returns for a longer seasonal period than last winter. It starts daily service on 30 November 2026, then reduces through January and February.
Shanghai falls back to 4 daily flights, but the Airbus A380 operates SQ830/SQ833 throughout the winter instead of only during February and March as it did last winter.
Beijing Daxing once again suspends service over the New Year period, but for only three weeks compared with the longer suspension last year.

Important Regional Frequency Changes

Middle East Services Return to the Schedule
Singapore Airlines’ Middle East network experienced a difficult 2026.
Dubai service was suspended on 28 February 2026 after military strikes led to widespread airspace closures in the region. The planned restart was subsequently delayed several times.
The winter 2026/27 schedule now includes the planned return of both Dubai and Riyadh, but both routes return with lower capacity or smaller aircraft than originally expected.
Dubai
Dubai restarts with daily flights from 25 October 2026.
Instead of the planned Airbus A380, the route will use the two class Airbus A350 Medium Haul during the winter season.
That means Singapore Airlines will not offer First Class or Premium Economy on the route during this period.
The A380 originally intended for Dubai was redeployed to Melbourne in March. The switch to the A350 had been foreshadowed in May and confirmed in July.
The Boeing 777-300ER is loaded for Dubai from 28 March 2027, rather than the A380.
Riyadh
Riyadh is scheduled to relaunch on 1 December 2026, six months later than the original June plan.
The restart had previously been moved to September and then December.
The route begins with 3 weekly flights, rather than the four weekly flights originally planned. That represents a 25% reduction in planned frequency.
Riyadh will use the Airbus A350 Medium Haul.
At nearly nine hours during the winter months, Riyadh will be Singapore Airlines’ longest route featuring the 2018 Regional Business Class seat.
The region remains subject to operational uncertainty, so the December launch remains dependent on the schedule being operated as planned.
Selected Routes Face Reductions
Not every market gains capacity during winter 2026/27.
Colombo
Colombo is cut from 14 weekly flights to seven weekly.
The daily Boeing 737-8 MAX service added in May 2026 is withdrawn only months after its introduction.
The remaining operation is a daily Boeing 787-10 flight.
Johannesburg
Johannesburg drops from 12 to 7 weekly flights.
The SQ482/SQ481 terminating service is removed. The remaining daily SQ478/SQ479 flight continues to and from Cape Town.
Bali
Bali loses its sixth daily flight during off-peak periods.
The route operates 35 weekly flights during several periods of the 22 week season, compared with 42 weekly during higher-demand periods.
Across the full season, the schedule represents roughly 9% fewer flights than last winter.
The reduction in seat capacity is greater because about half of the flights now use the smaller Boeing 737-8 MAX. Overall seat capacity is therefore down by more than 20% compared with last winter.
Taipei
Taipei remains at 2 daily flights throughout the winter.
The seasonal third daily service added four days per week during February last year for cherry blossom demand does not return.
Tokyo
Tokyo does not receive a sixth daily December flight this year.
SQ630/SQ639, which was added to Haneda for December 2025, is not repeated in the winter 2026/27 schedule.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam falls from 10 weekly flights back to daily after the summer SQ334/SQ333 service ends.
Los Angeles
Nonstop Singapore to Los Angeles service remains at 10 weekly flights through 12 March 2027.
It then falls to 7 weekly flights from 13 March through 27 March 2027.

Where the Airbus A380 Will Operate
Singapore Airlines will use its Airbus A380 fleet in 7 cities during the winter 2026/27 season.

The A380 originally intended for Dubai has instead been redeployed to Melbourne.
Singapore Airlines Fifth Freedom Routes
Singapore Airlines will operate only 2 fifth freedom routes during winter 2026/27.
A fifth freedom flight allows the airline to sell tickets between two foreign cities on a service that also connects with Singapore.

The previous Milan to Barcelona intra-Europe fifth freedom sector ends when the Barcelona network is restructured.
The new Barcelona to Madrid sector is a domestic flight within Spain. Singapore Airlines cannot sell that domestic sector separately because of cabotage restrictions.
The same principle applies to Johannesburg to Cape Town.
Passengers therefore cannot buy or redeem standalone Singapore Airlines tickets solely for:
- Barcelona to Madrid
- Johannesburg to Cape Town
Travel on these sectors must form part of a wider itinerary to or from Singapore.
SQ1 and SQ2 Remain Absent
Singapore Airlines has still not programmed a return for the flagship SQ1/SQ2 Singapore to Hong Kong to San Francisco routing.
The service was suspended in January 2022 when Hong Kong prohibited transit passengers during the pandemic-era travel restrictions.
The route remains absent from the winter 2026/27 schedule.
The source schedule analysis also notes that a short-term restart is unlikely while the airline has no new long-haul aircraft deliveries scheduled until 2027 at the earliest, alongside another Boeing 777-300ER leaving the operating fleet during 2026.
Winter 2026/27 Schedule Means
The winter 2026/27 schedule represents a broad restoration of international capacity after the heavier seasonal reductions of 2025/26.
Europe receives the largest concentration of additional capacity. Madrid returns after 22 years, Barcelona rises to 5 weekly nonstop flights, Gatwick reaches twice daily for much of the season, Frankfurt gains a third daily rotation for most of the winter, Munich increases to 10 weekly outside February, and Heathrow maintains all four daily flights throughout the season.
Australia and New Zealand also receive significant changes. Western Sydney International becomes a new destination from 23 November 2026, Adelaide reaches a record 12 weekly flights, Christchurch peaks at 12 weekly, and Auckland receives the A380 for the entire season for the first time.
Vietnam is another major growth market, with combined Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang services reaching 70 weekly flights, around 43% above last winter.
The Middle East network is scheduled to recover with the return of Dubai and Riyadh. Both routes return with lower capacity than initially planned, with Dubai using a two-class A350 Medium Haul instead of the A380 and Riyadh beginning with three weekly flights rather than four.
The main reductions are concentrated in Colombo, Johannesburg and Bali. Colombo loses half its weekly flights, Johannesburg returns to seven weekly, and Bali records roughly 9% fewer flights across the season with overall seat capacity falling by more than 20%.

Schedule Availability and Future Changes
The latest updated schedules, including operating frequencies and aircraft assignments, are available through the Singapore Airlines website.
Travellers planning journeys beyond 27 March 2027 should treat the following summer schedule as provisional. Aircraft types are particularly subject to change.
More firm information for the next summer season is expected around January 2027.
Singapore Airlines’ winter 2026/27 schedule therefore represents one of the airline’s major network updates of the year.
By March 2027, total passenger flights are expected to exceed 2,530 weekly, the highest level since early 2020, while the balance of capacity shifts strongly toward Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Vietnam.
