SINGAPORE– Singapore Airlines (SQ) has begun testing a dedicated concierge service for Suites and First Class passengers departing from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), further expanding its premium ground experience for its highest-paying travelers.
The trial introduces personalized assistance from the airline’s flagship lounge through to boarding.
The new service is currently available for eligible passengers using The Private Room in Terminal 3.
Along with a personal concierge, travelers receive buggy transfers to their departure gate and access to priority security screening, reducing walking time and streamlining the airport experience.

Concierge Trial
Under the trial, Suites and First Class passengers are assigned a dedicated concierge upon arriving at The Private Room, Singapore Airlines’ exclusive First Class lounge.
The concierge serves as a single point of contact throughout the airport journey. Responsibilities include monitoring flight updates, assisting with rebookings during disruptions, coordinating shopping requests such as duty-free purchases or pharmacy visits, and arranging boarding according to passenger preference.
When it is time to board, passengers are escorted by buggy to the departure gate and guided through dedicated priority security lanes before proceeding to the aircraft.
The service is currently being evaluated on a trial basis, with Singapore Airlines expected to decide later whether it should become a permanent feature.

Premium Experience of Buggy Transfer
The buggy transfer represents one of the most practical benefits of the new service. The Private Room is located in Terminal 3’s A-gate area, while some Singapore Airlines departures operate from the B gates or, during busy periods, the C gates in Terminal 1, requiring a considerably longer walk.
Based on current reports, the concierge service is limited to passengers departing from Terminal 3. Terminal 2 operates only a small number of Singapore Airlines First Class flights, including services to Jakarta and Tokyo Haneda.
The initiative builds on several premium enhancements introduced by the airline in recent years.
Singapore Airlines recently opened a new First Class SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 2, expanded hospitality services through Accor, and began testing dedicated priority security screening for Suites, First Class, and Solitaire PPS Club members, The Mile Lion flagged.

Future Upgrades in Singapore Airlines
The concierge trial comes as Singapore Airlines prepares for a broader overhaul of its premium products.
The airline plans to introduce its next-generation First Class cabin after delays caused by supply chain constraints and certification requirements. While the new products were initially expected during 2026, the rollout has shifted to early 2027.
Industry expectations have grown following reports that the redesigned First Class could feature fully enclosed suites, an improved double-bed configuration for paired travelers, and enhanced onboard dining options.
Alongside future cabin upgrades, Singapore Airlines has already refreshed several premium offerings, including catering at The Private Room, onboard amenity kits, and sleeper suits for First Class passengers.
