NEW YORK- JetBlue Airways (B6) has opened its first airport lounge, BlueHouse, at JFK to strengthen its premium travel offering and improve customer experience.
New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) now hosts the airline’s flagship lounge, which also recently introduced paid day-pass access for select travelers.

Inside JetBlue’s BlueHouse Lounge at JFK Terminal 5
JetBlue officially opened BlueHouse on December 18, 2025, marking the airline’s entry into airport lounge services. The lounge sits in Terminal 5 across from Gate 526, JetBlue’s primary base at JFK, and operates daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The facility spans about 9,000 square feet across two levels and seats around 150 guests. The design blends New York apartment influences with art deco touches, local artwork, and brand references tied to JetBlue’s identity.
Travelers find varied seating zones that support work, dining, and relaxation. Features include high-speed Wi-Fi, charging outlets, open seating areas, quiet corners, and a dedicated game room.
Food and beverage options emphasize local New York partnerships. Catering comes from Union Square Events, while drinks feature selections from Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft, and Please Don’t Tell.
Morning food includes grab-and-go breakfast staples such as bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches. Later options feature New York favorites like pastrami sandwiches and wraps. Guests can also enjoy local draft beers, cocktails, wines, and barista-prepared espresso drinks alongside specialty chai and matcha.
The lounge focuses heavily on grab-and-go service, allowing travelers to consume food either inside or outside the lounge, which suits passengers with tight connections, OMAAT flagged.

Who Can Access the BlueHouse Lounge
Access rules combine elite benefits, premium ticket perks, credit card privileges, and paid entry options.
Complimentary access applies to:
• Passengers traveling in Mint on flights between the United States and Europe
• Mosaic 4 elite members, including one free guest
• Holders of JetBlue’s premium credit card, also with one complimentary guest
Additional guests cost $39 per person in these categories.
Since February 2026, JetBlue also sells lounge passes to selected travelers:
• Mint passengers traveling within the Americas may buy access for $59
• Mosaic 3 members can purchase access for $59
• Mosaic 1 and 2 members may purchase access for $79

Guest pricing matches the member’s entry price in these paid categories.

JetBlue’s Strategy Behind Its First Lounge
JetBlue enters the lounge market later than major U.S. competitors, despite operating Mint business class for more than a decade. Instead of launching multiple lounge tiers, the airline uses a single concept that serves both premium travelers and loyalty members.
The move strengthens JetBlue’s transatlantic Mint competitiveness while also supporting revenue through premium credit cards and paid lounge entry.
BlueHouse offers a distinctive personality rather than a standard lounge template. The focus on local flavors, relaxed design, and flexible food service aligns with JetBlue’s brand positioning while still delivering expected premium amenities.
While it may not rival top-tier international lounges, BlueHouse fills a major gap in JetBlue’s premium travel experience and raises the airline’s competitiveness in key markets.

Why BlueHouse Matters for JFK Travelers
Terminal 5 passengers now gain access to a modern lounge space that combines productivity and relaxation before departure. For JetBlue customers, it completes the premium journey from airport to aircraft.
The lounge also signals JetBlue’s broader strategy to compete more directly in premium segments while maintaining accessible pricing options.
Bottom Line
JetBlue’s BlueHouse lounge at JFK introduces a 9,000-square-foot space designed to improve comfort for premium and frequent travelers.
Expanded access options now allow more customers to experience the airline’s first lounge, marking an important milestone in JetBlue’s premium growth strategy.
