ROME- ITA Airways (AZ) will inaugurate its first historical direct air link between Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) beginning May 1, 2026. Tickets are already available for purchase through all official sales channels.
The route forms a central highlight of ITA Airways’ Summer 2026 schedule, expanding transatlantic connectivity and reinforcing the airline’s strategic positioning in its most important international market, the United States.
ITA Airways Nonstop Rome to Houston Flight
The new Rome to Houston service will begin with 3 weekly flights through May 2026, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Departure from Rome is scheduled at 10:20 with arrival in Houston at 15:40 local time. Beginning June 1 and running through October 24, frequencies increase to 5 weekly flights, adding Monday and Saturday.
The return flight from Houston follows the same phased weekly pattern, leaving at 18:10 and landing in Rome at 11:50 the following day.
The route will be operated using the Airbus A330-900, known for its high fuel efficiency, low noise levels, and advanced onboard digital features.
