PERTH- Jetstar (JQ) has launched its first-ever nonstop service from Perth Airport (PER) to Manila Airport (MNL), marking a significant expansion of the low-cost carrier’s presence in Western Australia. The inaugural flight departed on Thursday night and represents a strategic investment in Jetstar’s growing international network.
The new route strengthens connectivity between Western Australia and the Philippines, supporting both tourism and the region’s large Filipino community.
Jetstar Perth to Manila Flight
Jetstar’s Perth–Manila flights add another major international gateway to its schedule from Western Australia, expanding the number of direct routes between Perth and Asia to five.
The new service joins existing connections to Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, and Bali, giving West Australians more low-cost travel options across the region.
The airline expects to offer more than 72,000 seats annually on the new route. This increased capacity aims to meet rising demand from both leisure travelers and the large Filipino population residing in Western Australia.
At the same time, the service is positioned to attract more inbound visitors to Perth, contributing to the state’s tourism economy.
Jetstar continues to grow its local workforce as part of this expansion. More than 60 pilots are now based in Perth, and the arrival of an additional A321LR will support further operational reliability and scheduling flexibility into 2026.

The airline will operate the Perth–Manila service three times weekly using its Airbus A321LR fleet. The aircraft introduces enhanced comfort features, increased fuel efficiency, and expanded operational capability on medium-haul international routes.

Jetstar also operates several domestic routes from Perth and remains the only carrier providing direct flights between Sydney, Melbourne, and Busselton-Margaret River Airport.
