GURUGRAM- Air India Express (IX), India’s first international value carrier, starts operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) on 25 December 2025, the airport’s opening day for commercial flights.
The airline launches daily flights to Bengaluru (BLR) and five weekly services to Delhi (DEL), with bookings now available.
From 1 January 2026, Air India Express will increase frequency to twice daily on both routes, providing direct links to its largest domestic hubs and seamless connections across the AIX and Air India networks.

Air India Express Navi Mumbai Flights
Air India Express (IX) becomes one of the first carriers to operate from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) on its inaugural day.
The airline introduces daily round-trips to Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and 5 weekly flights to Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) initially.

Air India Express (IX) continues steady growth in Maharashtra, operating over 130 weekly flights from Mumbai (BOM) and over 90 weekly flights from Pune (PNQ). Starting 1 December 2025, the airline launches services from Nagpur (NAG), with twice-daily flights to Bengaluru (BLR).

Growth at Key Hub
Bengaluru (BLR) remains a core hub for Air India Express (IX), with over 530 weekly flights. The airline recently added routes from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur.
It also inaugurated direct international flights from Bengaluru to Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh.

New Campaign
Air India Express launched its ‘Xplore More, Xpress More’ campaign, encouraging travelers to immerse themselves in local culture and discover new experiences.
The airline unveiled an upgraded cabin on Boeing 737-8 aircraft. Features include seats with superior padding, wider armrests, legroom from 29 to 38 inches, in-seat USB charging ports, ovens for hot Gourmair meals, brand-new carpets, refreshed interiors, and advanced Boeing Sky Interior lighting for a modern, warm ambience.
Through the ‘Tales of India’ initiative, Air India Express showcases over 50 indigenous arts from 25 states on its aircraft.
Highlights include Maharashtra’s iconic Warli painting and exquisite Himroo and Paithani weaves.
