Singapore Airlines (SIA) has officially opened its newly built First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi Airport’s Terminal 2, marking a major milestone in its ongoing S$45 million lounge renovation project.
The lounge, which will welcome top-tier passengers from 7 November, represents a significant expansion of SIA’s premium facilities at the airport.
The airline expects the lounge to accommodate up to 130 passengers comfortably, similar to Terminal 3’s First Class lounge, and plans to increase overall Terminal 2 lounge capacity by 50% by 2027.

Singapore Airlines New SilverKris Lounge
The lounge design, led by consultancy Ong & Ong, divides the space into four functional zones: living, dining, work, and relaxation.
Guests can expect comfortable seating options, including wingback chairs, modular alcove-style seats, and semi-private productivity pods equipped with fast wireless charging and multiple power outlets.
Located in previously unused space opposite the existing lounge complex, the 1,050-square-metre facility is 11% larger than its predecessor, offering higher ceilings, natural light, and a design that mirrors SIA’s recently upgraded Terminal 3 lounges.
Highlighting the lounge are two bespoke Czech chandeliers designed by Michaela Mertlova, featuring 128 hand-blown glass stars, which create a soft, ethereal glow across the living and dining areas.
A new cocktail bar, seating 12 guests, offers airport views and serves a curated list of beverages, including the SilverKris Bloody Mary, Singapore Sling, and wellness-inspired drinks in collaboration with COMO Shambhala.
Natural light is a standout feature, with floor-to-ceiling windows along one side of the lounge, allowing passengers to enjoy views of taxiing aircraft and the runway.

Culinary Offerings
The lounge features a dedicated dining area with 60 seats, including both two-person tables and larger four-seat booths. A show kitchen serves live-station dishes alongside a buffet featuring international and local cuisine.
November 2025 menu highlights include Herb-Roasted Chicken Cacciatore, Stir-Fried XO Carrot Cake with Bean Sprouts, Mediterranean Quinoa Salad, and local specialties such as Ondeh Ondeh Cake.
For those seeking casual social dining, a new “bar bites” menu allows passengers to enjoy snacks directly at the cocktail bar. The lounge also offers a self-pour drinks station featuring premium wines and a 2013 vintage Piper Heidsieck Rare Champagne.

Relaxation and Business Facilities
Passengers can access four semi-private nap pods located in a soundproofed room, each equipped with Poltrona Frau reclining chairs, pillows, blankets, and eyeshades. While not fully enclosed like Terminal 3’s nap rooms, the T2 pods provide adequate privacy for short rest periods.
Additional amenities include a meeting room with video conferencing facilities, two soundproofed phone booths, a family play area with a PlayStation 5, and a nursing room for parents with infants.
The lounge also provides five private shower suites, one wheelchair-accessible, each outfitted with premium GROHE and TOTO fixtures, Dyson hairdryers, and Lalique Neroli toiletries.

Access and Connectivity
Access to the new lounge is restricted to departing and arriving First Class and Suites passengers, as well as PPS Solitaire members.
First Class travelers on Star Alliance partner airlines also qualify. For passengers departing from Terminal 3 but eligible for T2 lounge access, a short SkyTrain ride connects the two terminals.
Wi-Fi access is available throughout the lounge, with sufficient bandwidth for work or leisure use.
The former First Class SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 2 will be repurposed to expand the Business Class SilverKris Lounge, with full project completion expected by mid-2027.
Looking further ahead, Singapore Airlines and Scoot will consolidate operations at Terminal 5 in the mid-2030s, including new premium lounges for both airlines.
SIA also plans to launch its updated First Class and Business Class cabin products in the first half of 2026, providing passengers with further enhancements to its premium travel experience.

Bottom Line
The new First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi Terminal 2 sets a new benchmark for luxury travel in Singapore.
Its spacious design, natural lighting, high-end amenities, and enhanced dining and beverage offerings provide a first-class pre-flight experience that complements SIA’s global reputation.
While Terminal 3 still offers fully private nap rooms, T2’s bright and airy layout, coupled with striking design elements, ensures passengers departing from Terminal 2 enjoy an equally impressive experience.
