MONTREAL– Air Canada (AC) has expanded its signature premium offering with the opening of a new Air Canada Café at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), marking the airline’s fourth location of its grab-and-go lounge concept.
Positioned between Gates C46 and C47 in the domestic terminal, the 2,142-square-foot space captures the essence of Vancouver through its locally inspired menu, thoughtful design, and curated art, creating a comfortable and contemporary retreat for eligible travelers.

Air Canada Opens New Cafe
The new Air Canada Café blends convenience with a sense of place, reflecting Vancouver’s cultural diversity and connection to nature.
Guests can unwind in a space designed to balance form and function, featuring power outlets at every seat, productivity-style seating, and easy self-access via boarding pass scanning at eGates.
The culinary experience celebrates local tastes with a menu featuring Vancouver staples such as Nanaimo bars, Lee’s Donuts, and Asian-inspired dishes like Vietnamese nems and a Korean crispy chicken burger.
Each selection emphasizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients, bringing an authentic West Coast touch to every bite. Clear ingredient and allergen details, accessible through QR codes, reflect Air Canada’s focus on inclusivity and guest well-being.
Beverage choices are equally diverse, offering locally brewed craft beer and seltzer from Persephone Brewing, alongside nitro cold brew on tap and milk alternatives including oat, almond, and soy.

Design Rooted in Vancouver’s Identity
Created in collaboration with Vancouver-based Smart Design, the café’s interiors merge aviation-inspired precision with organic forms drawn from British Columbia’s landscape.
The space features a fuselage-style ceiling, soft curves, and light fixtures modeled after river rocks, crafted by local studio A-N-D Light.
Adding to its artistic character, the café showcases four original works by Chinese-Canadian artist Scott Sueme. His bold abstract compositions evoke themes of nature, identity, and belonging, tying the lounge’s aesthetic to Vancouver’s creative energy.

Exclusive Access and Growing Network
Access to the Air Canada Café at YVR is available to passengers flying in Business Class, Aeroplan 50K, 75K, or Super Elite Members, Star Alliance Gold travelers, and Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders.
With existing Air Canada Cafés at Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), and Montréal-Trudeau (YUL), this new location strengthens the airline’s premium lounge network.
Air Canada plans to expand further, adding over 500 new lounge seats globally by the end of 2025 as part of its investment in customer comfort and convenience.
