MONTREAL- Flag carrier Air Canada (AC) has introduced adjustments to its intercontinental operations for the Northern Summer 2025 season.
These updates as reported by Aeroroutes reflect recent changes in the airline’s schedule and aircraft deployment.
Air Canada Summer 2025 Schedule Update
Below is a detailed overview of the planned modifications based on a comparison of schedules as of September 8, 2024, and November 24, 2024:
Flights from Montreal
Montreal – Athens
From May 22 to September 4, 2025, seasonal operations will increase from 7 to 9 weekly flights. Flights AC922/923 will primarily utilize the Boeing 787-8, with the larger 787-9 operating from June 19 to August 28, 2025.
Montreal – Barcelona
- May 1 to May 14, 2025: Frequency rises from 5 to 7 weekly, served by Airbus A330-300.
- May 15 to May 31, 2025: Daily service continues with the A330-300.
- June 1 to September 29, 2025: Daily flights will be operated with the higher-capacity Boeing 777-300ER, replacing the A330-300.
Montreal – Casablanca
From June 17 to September 8, 2025, service increases from 4 to 7 weekly flights, operated by the Airbus A330-300.
Montreal – Copenhagen
- June 5 to June 21, 2025: Seasonal service begins earlier than initially planned, operating 3 weekly flights with Boeing 787-8.
- June 22 to September 28, 2025: Service reduces from 5 to 4 weekly flights.
Montreal – Dublin
From June 1 to September 29, 2025, operations increase from 3 to 4 weekly flights, with the Boeing 787-9 replacing the 787-8.
Montreal – Frankfurt
- AC844/845: From March 29 to April 30, 2025, the Boeing 787-9 replaces the Airbus A330-300 and will operate throughout the season.
- AC846/847: Starting June 18, 2025, 5 weekly flights will be served by the Boeing 787-8 instead of the A330-300.
Montreal – Geneva
Daily peak-season service will commence earlier, starting June 16, 2025, with the Airbus A330-300, continuing through September 28.
Montreal – Lisbon
- May 3 to May 17, 2025: Daily service remains in effect with the Airbus A330-300.
- From May 18, 2025: Operations adjust to 6 weekly flights.
Montreal – Madrid
From March 30 to April 30, 2025, the Boeing 787-8 replaces the Airbus A330-300, maintaining 5 weekly flights throughout the season.
Montreal – Nice
- May 1 to May 31, 2025: Service operates 4 weekly flights with the Boeing 787-8, replacing the A330-300.
- June 20 onward: Service increases to 5 weekly flights.
Montreal – Rome Fiumicino
From June 17 to September 2, 2025, frequencies rise from 7 to 9 weekly flights. Flights AC904/905 will operate 2 weekly with the Boeing 787-8, starting June 5 with the 787-9.
Montreal – Seoul Incheon
- June 5 to June 14, 2025: Service begins with 3 weekly flights on the Boeing 787-9.
- June 16 to August 30, 2025: Frequencies increase to 4 weekly flights.
- September 2 to September 27, 2025: Service reverts to 3 weekly flights with the 787-9.
- Effective September 30, 2025: Operations shift to 3 weekly flights with the Boeing 787-8.

From May 1 to October 1, 2025, service reduces to 4 weekly flights operated by the Boeing 787-8.
Toronto Network Changes
Toronto – Athens
From May 24 to August 30, 2025, flight frequencies increase from 7 to 9 weekly. Flights AC920/921 will primarily use the Boeing 787-8, with the 787-9 replacing it starting June 3, 2025.
Toronto – Barcelona
From March 29 to April 30, 2025, the Airbus A330-300 will be replaced by the 400-seater Boeing 777-300ER, which will operate daily throughout the entire season.
Toronto – Brussels
- March 30 to May 29, 2025: Service reduces to 3 weekly flights with the Boeing 787-9.
- June 1 to June 15, 2025: Service increases to 4 weekly flights using the Boeing 787-8.
- June 16 to August 29, 2025: The 787-9 will operate 4 weekly flights.
- Effective August 31, 2025: Service reverts to 4 weekly flights with the 787-8.
Toronto – Copenhagen
- March 30 to April 30, 2025: The Boeing 787-8 replaces the 787-9, operating 4 weekly flights.
- May 1 to September 3, 2025: Frequencies reduce from 7 to 5 weekly, operated by the 787-8.
- Effective September 5, 2025: The 787-8 continues service with 4 weekly flights, replacing the 787-9.
Toronto – Edinburgh
Seasonal service will begin earlier than planned, starting April 2, 2025. Flights will operate 4 times weekly using the Boeing 787-9 until May 31, 2025.
Toronto – London Heathrow
From June 1 to August 31, 2025, flights AC852/855 will operate with the Boeing 777-200LR instead of the 787-9.
Toronto – Madrid
Effective June 1, 2025, frequencies increase from 5 to 7 weekly, with the Boeing 787-9 replacing the 787-8.
Toronto – Munich
From March 29 to April 30, 2025, the Airbus A330-300 replaces the Boeing 787-9 on the daily service. The A330-300 will remain scheduled for the entire season.
Toronto – Osaka Kansai
Seasonal service will operate 3 weekly flights starting June 3, 2025, as planned. From June 17 to August 30, 2025, flights will use the Boeing 787-9, while the 787-8 will handle operations outside this period.
Toronto – Paris Charles de Gaulle
Two of the five weekly flights will use the Boeing 777-200LR instead of the 777-300ER during the following periods: May 5 to May 27, 2025, and September 1 to October 24, 2025.
Toronto – Prague
Service resumes for the first time since 2019 with 3 weekly flights.
- June 6 to August 31, 2025: Flights will be operated by the Airbus A330-300.
- September 2 to September 28, 2025: The Boeing 787-8 will replace the A330-300.
Toronto – Stockholm Arlanda
Effective June 4, 2025, the Airbus A330-300 replaces the Boeing 787-8. The planned increase from 2 to 4 weekly flights in Northern Summer 2024 remains unchanged, with the seasonal service starting one week earlier than originally planned.
Toronto – Tokyo Haneda
Effective May 1, 2025, the 400-seater Boeing 777-300ER replaces the Boeing 787-9, operating daily flights.
Toronto – Tokyo Narita
Effective May 1, 2025, the Boeing 787-9 replaces the 400-seater Boeing 777-300ER on daily flights.
Toronto – Vienna
From March 29 to April 30, 2025, the Airbus A330-300 replaces the Boeing 787-9 on 5 weekly flights. The A330-300 will operate daily from May 1, 2025, as planned.
Vancouver Schedule Update
Vancouver – Brisbane
From May 1 to October 23, 2025, flight frequencies will reduce from 7 to 5 weekly, operated by the Boeing 787-9.
Vancouver – Dublin
Seasonal service will now begin on May 3, 2025, instead of June 16, 2025. The route will operate 3 weekly flights with the Boeing 787-9, replacing the previously planned 4 weekly flights on the 787-8.
Vancouver – Seoul Incheon
Effective May 1, 2025, the Boeing 787-9 will replace the 400-seater Boeing 777-300ER, maintaining daily service.
