TORONTO- Porter Airlines is launching two new seasonal routes from Ottawa International Airport (YOW), Canada this week, expanding its network with nonstop flights to Tampa (TPA) and Fort Myers (RSW), the United States.
Service to Tampa begins today with up to four weekly flights, while Fort Myers flights start on November 28, operating up to three times per week.

Here’s the flight Ottawa-Tampa schedule:
- The Ottawa-Tampa flights depart at 4:20 p.m. and arrive at 7:55 p.m. local time on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
- Return flights from Tampa depart at 11:10 a.m. and arrive in Ottawa at 2:20 p.m.
Here’s the flight Ottawa-Fort Myers schedule:
- Ottawa-Fort Myers flights are scheduled at 4:05 p.m., landing at 7:51 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
- The return flights leave Fort Myers at 11:35 a.m., arriving in Ottawa at 2:53 p.m.
Passengers on these routes will travel aboard Porter’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, offering complimentary beer and wine in glassware, premium snacks, free fast WiFi, and no middle seats.
PorterReserve fares include enhanced perks like healthy meals, pre-mixed cocktails, dedicated check-in, early boarding, and more. These amenities are also available as à la carte options for PorterClassic fares.
Porter’s Ottawa hub continues to grow, with existing nonstop services to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando complementing these new routes. Travelers can also connect to other destinations across Canada through Porter’s network.

Joel Tkach, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at the Ottawa International Airport Authority, noted Florida’s enduring appeal for its warm weather and sandy beaches, expressing excitement over the expanded travel options.
Southwest Florida International Airport’s Executive Director and CEO Steven C. Hennigan praised Porter’s increased presence, which includes connections to Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto. He described the Ottawa route as a valuable addition to linking Southwest Florida with key Canadian markets.
Tampa International Airport CEO Joe Lopano lauded Porter’s growth at TPA, celebrating the launch of nonstop service to Ottawa. He emphasized the route’s importance in providing Tampa Bay travelers with direct access to Canada’s capital and expressed optimism for Porter’s continued expansion.
