ABU DHABI- Etihad Engineering is actively recruiting experienced Aircraft Engineers for base maintenance positions at its state-of-the-art MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE from India.
As part of this initiative, Etihad Engineering’s recruitment team will visit India in December 2024 to meet and interview shortlisted candidates with relevant experience in base maintenance.
Etihad Hiring Engineers in India
The Aircraft Engineer role involves critical responsibilities, including the removal, installation, repair, and modification of components and systems on Aircraft, Engines, and Auxiliary Power Units (APU).
Engineers will conduct thorough visual inspections of these components and systems, certifying both their own work and the work of other personnel, as per the guidelines established under the Airframe Capabilities List of the MOE (Maintenance Organization Exposition) 1.
This role demands strict adherence to all applicable, current technical data, ensuring that maintenance and repairs meet the highest safety and compliance standards.

Core Responsibilities
Aircraft Engineers at Etihad Engineering are accountable for certifying work on aircraft, engines, and APUs, ensuring all tasks align with approved maintenance data. Engineers verify and certify both their work and that of others, maintaining strict adherence to company procedures.
They ensure all maintenance meets the highest standards, referencing current technical data, including aircraft manuals, engineering instructions, and orders.
Engineers accurately complete all required aircraft documentation promptly and supervise technicians in all aspects of aircraft maintenance. They are also responsible for raising technical requests to Engineering, supplying necessary data for repairs or instructions outside current maintenance documentation.
They ensure that all maintenance on designated aircraft follows company procedures and is reported to the C-Certifier. Any issues or potential delays must be immediately communicated to the C-Certifier to avoid operational disruptions.
Engineers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and strict adherence to deadlines and targets set by the check manager. They should show a thorough knowledge of Etihad Engineering’s Safety Management System, quality procedures, and GCAA/EASA/FAA Part-145 requirements.
The role requires enforcing discipline, safety, housekeeping, tool control, and progressive card signing, contributing to a consistent and safe work environment.

Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must possess a high school leaving certificate or a university/college degree, along with a valid Aircraft License (UAE GCAA, EASA, or ICAO type 2 license, convertible to GCAA).
They must be authorized for at least one current Etihad Engineering aircraft type (A380, Boeing 787, A350, or Boeing 777) with a minimum of 5 years of certifying experience.
Candidates should also have at least 10 years of overall experience in aircraft maintenance, including at least 3 years in a base maintenance environment.
