MUMBAI- There are around 150 Airbus A380 aircraft in service with 10 Airlines flying them on 93 Routes this Winter (2024-25).
The ten airlines that are currently flying this double-decker aircraft are All Nippon Airways or ANA (NH), Asiana Airlines (OZ), British Airways (BA), Emirates (EK), Etihad (EY), Korean Air (KE), Lufthansa (LH), Qantas (QF), Qatar Airways (QR) and Singapore Airlines (SQ).
Airbus A380 Winter Flight Schedule
The Asian operators dominate the Airbus A380 routes with 7 out of 10 are Asian carriers. Here’s the flight schedule as reported by Aeroroutes.
ANA (All Nippon Airways) will maintain 14 weekly flights between Tokyo Narita and Honolulu, increasing to 12 weekly flights effective January 11, 2025.
Asiana Airlines has several A380 routes planned:
- Seoul Incheon to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi will operate 1 daily flight from December 1, 2024, to March 2, 2025. This will increase to 9 weekly flights from December 6 to 28, 2024.
- Seoul Incheon to Barcelona flights are scheduled for March 2 and 7, 2025.
- Seoul Incheon to Frankfurt flights are planned for November 10 and 15, 2024.
- Seoul Incheon to Los Angeles will have 2 daily flights, reduced to 1 daily from December 1, 2024, to March 2, 2025.
- Seoul Incheon to Sydney will have 1 daily flight from December 1, 2024, to March 2, 2025.
- Seoul Incheon to Taipei Taoyuan will operate 1 daily flight.
- Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita will have 1 daily flight, except for some dates from November 10-21, 2024, and January 6-16, 2025.
British Airways Airbus A380 plans include:
- London Heathrow to Dallas/Fort Worth, starting January 1, 2025, with 1 daily flight.
- London Heathrow to Dubai maintains 1 daily flight.
- London Heathrow to Johannesburg with 1 daily flight.
- London Heathrow to Los Angeles with 1 daily flight, reduced to 6 weekly from November 27 to December 5, 2024, and 4 weekly from January 12-20, 2025.
- London Heathrow to Miami with 2 daily flights.
- London Heathrow to San Francisco with 1 daily flight, plus extra A380 service on January 12 and 16, 2025.
- London Heathrow to Singapore with 1 daily flight.
Lufthansa’s A380 operations include:
- One daily flight from Munich to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Delhi.
- Munich to Los Angeles will have 1 daily A380 flight, except from January 8 to February 28, 2025.
- Munich to New York JFK will maintain 1 daily A380 service until November 11, 2024.
Emirates: Market Leader with 50 Routes
Dubai-based carrier, Emirates will serve 50 routes with its Airbus A380 this winter and they are as follows:
- Dubai to Amman will have 1 daily flight, with some dates operated by 2-class A380 aircraft.
- Dubai to Amsterdam will maintain 2 daily flights.
- Dubai to Auckland will have 1 daily 4-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Bangalore will operate 1 daily 4-class A380 flight.
- Dubai to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi will see 1 daily 3-class and 2 daily 2-class A380 flights, effective December 1, 2024.
- Dubai to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi with a continuation to Hong Kong will have 1 daily A380 flight.
- Dubai to Barcelona will operate 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Birmingham will have 1 daily 2-class A380 flight.
- Dubai to Brisbane will maintain 2 daily A380 flights.
- Dubai to Cairo will operate 3 daily A380 flights.
- Dubai to Casablanca will have 1 daily A380 flight on selected dates, with a 2-class configuration.
- Dubai to Copenhagen will add 1 daily 2-class A380 flight, effective January 1, 2025.
- Dubai to Denpasar will operate 1 daily 2-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Dusseldorf will have 1 daily 2-class A380 flight.
- Dubai to Frankfurt will maintain 1 daily A380 flight on selected dates, with a 2-class configuration.
- Dubai to Glasgow will operate 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Hong Kong will have 1 daily A380 flight.
- Dubai to Houston will operate 1 daily 4-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Istanbul will have 1 daily A380 flight.
- Dubai to Jeddah will see 3 daily A380 flights on selected dates, with a 2-class configuration.
- Dubai to Kuala Lumpur will maintain 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to London Gatwick will have 2 daily 3-class and 1 daily 2-class A380 flights, with 1 daily each 2-class and 3-class from November 6 to 30, 2024.
- Dubai to London Heathrow will operate 4 daily 4-class and 2 daily 3-class A380 flights, with 5 daily 4-class and 1 daily 3-class from December 1 to 22, 2024.
- Dubai to Los Angeles will have 1 daily 4-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Madrid will operate 1 daily A380 flight.
- Dubai to Manchester will see 2 daily 2-class and 1 daily 3-class A380 flights, with 3 daily 2-class A380 flights on selected dates.
- Dubai to Mauritius will have 1 daily each 2-class and 3-class A380 flight, with 2 daily 3-class A380 flights on selected dates.
- Dubai to Melbourne will operate a 2-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Milan Malpensa will have 1 daily A380 flight, with a continuation to New York JFK.
- Dubai to Moscow Domodedovo will maintain 2 daily A380 flights.
- Dubai to Mumbai will operate 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Munich will see 2 daily 3-class A380 flights, transitioning to 1 daily each 2-class and 3-class effective January 1, 2025.
- Dubai to New York JFK will have 1 daily each 3-class and 4-class A380 flights.
- Dubai to Nice will operate 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Osaka Kansai will have 1 daily 4-class A380 flight.
- Dubai to Paris Charles de Gaulle will maintain 3 daily A380 flights.
- Dubai to Perth will operate 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Prague will add 1 daily 2-class A380 flight, effective December 1, 2024.
- Dubai to Rome Fiumicino will have 1 daily A380 flight on selected dates, with a 2-class configuration.
- Dubai to San Francisco will operate 1 daily 4-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Sao Paulo Guarulhos will have 1 daily 4-class A380 flight.
- Dubai to Seoul Incheon will maintain 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Singapore will see 2 daily 4-class A380 flights, transitioning to 1 daily each 3-class and 4-class effective January 1, 2025.
- Dubai to Taipei Taoyuan will operate 1 daily 2-class A380 flight, with a 3-class configuration on selected dates.
- Dubai to Tokyo Narita will have 1 daily 4-class A380 service.
- Dubai to Toronto will maintain 1 daily A380 flight.
- Dubai to Vienna will operate 1 daily A380 service.
- Dubai to Washington Dulles will have 1 daily A380 flight.
- Dubai to Zurich will maintain 1 daily A380 service.
What about Etihad and Qatar Airways?
Etihad Airways A380 Operations are as follows:
- Gulf carrier will operate 12 weekly Airbus A380 flights between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow, increasing to 14 weekly from December 9-15, 2024.
- Abu Dhabi to Mumbai will have 3 weekly A380 flights until January 19, 2025.
- Abu Dhabi to New York JFK will maintain 1 daily A380 flight, except on December 10.
- Abu Dhabi to Paris Charles de Gaulle will add 1 daily A380 service effective November 1, 2024.
- Abu Dhabi to Singapore will see 1 daily A380 flight starting February 1, 2025.
Similarly, Qatar Airways will serve high-intensity routes and they are:
- The national carrier of Qatar will fly 1 daily A380 between Doha and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
- Doha to London Heathrow will increase from 1 to 2 daily A380 flights from December 11, 2024.
- Doha to Paris Charles de Gaulle will have 1 weekly A380 flight starting November 24, 2024, increasing to 3 weekly from December 13.
- Doha to Perth and Sydney will each operate 1 daily A380 service.
Asia Pacific Carriers
Korean Air A380 Operations are:
- The flag carrier of South Korea will operate 1 daily Airbus A380 flight between Seoul Incheon and Los Angeles.
- Seoul Incheon to New York JFK will have 2 daily A380 flights, increasing to 12 weekly from February 11 to March 5, 2025.
- Seoul Incheon to Taipei Taoyuan will see 1 daily A380 service from November 1 to 10, 2024.
Qantas long-haul A380 flights:
- The Australian carrier will maintain 2 weekly A380 flights from Melbourne to Los Angeles.
- Sydney to Johannesburg will operate 6 weekly A380 flights, reduced to 5 weekly from November 8 to 27, 2024.
- Sydney to Los Angeles will have 1 daily A380 service. Sydney to Singapore to London Heathrow will see 1 daily A380 flight.
Singapore Airlines’ A380 operations include:
- One daily flight from Singapore to Delhi and Frankfurt, except from January 14 to 31, 2025.
- Singapore to Hong Kong will have 1 daily A380 service from January 16 to 31, 2025, and March 16 to 29, 2025.
- Singapore to London Heathrow will operate 10 weekly A380 flights from October 27 to November 24, 2024, increasing to 14 weekly from November 25, 2024 to January 31, 2025, then reducing to 7 weekly from February 1, 2025.
- Singapore to Mumbai will maintain 1 daily A380 flight.
- Singapore to Shanghai Pudong will have 1 daily A380 service from January 15 to 31, 2025.
- Singapore to Sydney will see 2 daily A380 flights.
