The inauguration precedes bilateral discussions scheduled at the historic Laxmi Vilas Palace, the former residence of Baroda’s royal family.
Security forces maintain heightened vigilance across Vadodara, particularly around the Spanish Prime Minister’s accommodation following his late-night arrival on Sunday.
Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi confirmed the organization of cultural performances along the roadshow route. City police completed ground rehearsals involving 70 vehicles, covering both the roadshow path and the 10-kilometer stretch connecting the Tata facility to Laxmi Vilas Palace.
The TATA Aircraft Complex inauguration commences at 10 AM on Monday (October 28, 2024). Modi Ji’s schedule extends to Amreli, where he will inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar at Dudhala at 2:45 PM, followed by launching development projects worth Rs 4,800 crores in Lathi at 3 PM.
40 C295 Aircraft
The Vadodara facility commits to manufacturing 40 C295 aircraft, complementing Airbus’s direct delivery of 16 units.
TATA Advanced Systems leads India’s first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft, establishing a comprehensive ecosystem from manufacturing through maintenance.
The project incorporates contributions from defense public sector units Bharat Electronics and Bharat Dynamics, alongside private MSMEs. Modi initiated this project in October 2022 by laying the foundation stone.
The facility promises complete aircraft lifecycle management, including manufacturing, assembly, testing, qualification, delivery, and maintenance operations. This development advances India’s defense manufacturing capabilities while fostering public-private partnerships.
The Bharat Mata Sarovar project exemplifies successful public-private collaboration between the state government and Dholakia Foundation.
