HELSINKI- Finnair (AY) has announced significant increases in flight frequencies to major US and Asian destinations for the summer 2025 season.
The airline is boosting its services to meet growing demand and strengthen its international network. The summer 2025 schedule runs from March 30, 2025, to October 25, 2025.
Finnair US and Asia Flights
The airline will boost services to Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles, Nagoya, Osaka, and Shanghai.
US Flight Increase
Chicago O’Hare (ORD) will see daily flights from Helsinki starting March 31, 2025, up from five weekly flights. The route will utilize Finnair’s A330-300 aircraft.
Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) emerges as Finnair’s largest US station, surpassing JFK. The airline will increase service to daily flights from March 30, 2025, using its A350-900XWB. From May 1 to September 5, 2025, Finnair will further boost frequency to 11 weekly flights.
Los Angeles (LAX) service will increase from three to five weekly flights beginning April 1, 2025, operated by A350-900XWB aircraft.
Seattle (SEA) will benefit from increased service during the peak summer period, with five weekly flights from May 5 to August 20, 2025, using a mix of A330-300 and A350-900XWB aircraft.
Asia Frequency Rise
In Asia, Nagoya (NKM) will see an increase to three weekly flights from March 30, 2025, with a further boost to four weekly flights from May 7 to August 27, 2025.
Osaka Kansai (KIX) service will increase to six weekly flights from March 30, 2025, and then to daily flights from May 2, 2025, coinciding with the World Expo 2025.
Shanghai Pudong (PVG) will see an increase to four weekly flights starting April 29, 2025, while Tokyo Narita (NRT) will have daily service from March 30, 2025, both operated by A350-900XWB aircraft.
Christine Rovelli, Finnair’s Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized the enhanced connectivity these expansions provide.
Passengers can connect through Dallas and Chicago to American Airlines (AA) extensive network in North and South America. Seattle and Los Angeles offer gateways to the West Coast and Hawaii via partnerships with American Airlines and Alaska Airlines (AS).
Finnair, specializing in connecting passenger and cargo traffic between Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe, is the only airline offering year-round direct flights to Lapland.
